At Kima, each day is unique. Factors like the weather, swell, and the various social activities we offer mean that every day at the camp can be different. But one thing is certain: every day is an adventure and creates memories that last a lifetime. To give you an idea, let's walk you through what a typical day at the Kima Surf Camp in Bali might look like.
How could a day at Kima Surfcamp start other than with a morning surf session?! So set your alarm, brush your teeth, jump into your swimsuit or board shorts and prepare for your first surf session. Based on your surf level, you can either participate in our Learn-to-Surf Program or join our regular 1-6 star sessions. Our custom-built six-star session planner offers you several surf sessions for all kinds of surf levels, from beginner to advanced, so you’ll be able to choose the surf spot that matches your skills the most. Both of our Surfcamps in Bali are located close to the best surf spots in Bali - some even in walking distance like Old Man’s or Sandbar, to other spots we’ll drive you in our Kima Vans.
After checking the waves, if the conditions permit, the surf guides will provide a spot introduction and lead a warm-up. This ensures you'll be ready to catch some amazing waves.

We all know surfing makes stoked and it makes hungry! So, after you arrive back in the camp, it’s time for a nourishing breakfast and our breakfast menu is sure to satisfy. Select from our extensive breakfast menu and craft your own 3-course breakfast. Options include egg dishes, fruit salad, banana pancakes, bagels, Nasi Goreng, French toast, freshly pressed juices, and more.

Both our Camps in Bali, Canggu and Seminyak, provide you with many chill-out areas to take a rest after surfing. Even if it's your room or around in the camp. Relax and read a book in the hammocks in our Canggu Camp or in the sun lounges around the natural stone pool in our Seminyak Camp or treat yourself well with a massage, you can book in both of our Bali camps. Hang out with fellow Kima guests, play some board games, jump from our 5-meter diving tower and take a dip in a pool.
The surf didn’t exhaust you? It’s the perfect time now to explore the area around the camp. Canggu is an up-and-coming area with many restaurants, cafés, boutiques and stores. Take a stroll around and buy some souvenirs for your friends and family at home.

Yes sure, practice makes perfect and the best way to learn how to surf or to improve your skills is to go into the water and just surf! But like most things, surfing has rules and theory that you should learn to keep you and others safe in the water. That’s why we offer you our surf classroom to teach you about swell, wind and tides, the surf etiquette, the different types of surfboards, surf breaks and waves, how to read a forecast and more. The classroom takes part 3 times per week within the camp. Alternatively, join our pool training sessions and improve your turtle roll or duck dive.

Ready for Surf No. 2?! Wax your board and let's go! Your Kima Package includes 2 guided surf sessions per day. So choose your favourite spot and ride the waves again. The surf isn’t on in the afternoon because it is too windy or the conditions are just too bad?! Then just join a yoga session or a surf workout in the camp.
Bali is known, among other things, for the most beautiful sunsets. So obviously a day can hardly end better with a sunset on the beach. And sunsets with Kima are also not common sunsets. We walk down the beach with the whole big Kima Family, grabbing the guitars and the Cajon to have a sunset jam session with the surf guides singing while watching how the sun disappears behind the horizon.

Back at the camp, you can join the surf video analysis at 07 p.m. Every day some of the surf sessions get recorded. You can see which ones by the camera icon in the surf session planner. If you joined a recorded session during the day you’ll have the video analysis, where one of our surf guides will analyse the waves you caught and also the ones you didn’t catch during your sessions to figure out what you are doing good already, what you need to improve and how.
After you moved your body for the whole day, improved your surfing skills inside and outside the water, explored Canggu and Seminyak and softly shimmered during sunset it is time for a good dinner. Our menu in the camp’s restaurants offers a wide range of dinner options for all kinds of diets. From Chickenburger, over Tempe Burrito, to Ceasar Salad and Zucchini Spaghetti. Or you can join our weekly Family BBQ (included in your stay). You still don’t have enough?! Swing your dance legs during a short night out. The nightlife in Bali all around the camps offers a rich mix of bars and clubs that stay open until late. Whether you are looking for an extravagant night out with fancy drinks and famous DJs or for a more laid-back place and chilled vibes, Bali has it all. But don't make it too long - the next morning surf is waiting for you…
