We are super excited to welcome you to our Kima Surf Camps and create an unforgettable trip! We have two Kima Surf Camps situated in Sri Lanka, one in Weligama and one in Hiriketiya. Both with the same high standards and services.

Weligama: Social Vibes and Learn to Surf
Located on the southwestern coast, we created our unique and laid-back surf camp in Weligama that can accommodate around 70 guests. The camp is located in a 150 years old authentic Sri Lankan Colonial property, that is home to over 140 different fruit trees. We incorporate these fresh fruits into our menu!
The heart of the camp is a social hub, with enough chill-out areas to hang around with others, play games against the surf guides, enjoy the pool, play beach volleyball, other social activities, and enjoy the 5 x a week dinners (Monday to Friday) together. There are also enough private hide-outs where you can spend some me-time while reading your book, listening to a podcast or calling your friends back home to tell them everything about your last surf session.
With different cosy dorm rooms that accommodate 4-8 guests, this location is perfect for solo travellers. Looking for a bit more calm and privacy? Our camp in Weligama also provides stylish double rooms, shared bedrooms (also bookable as private), suites and a private villa. All rooms are equipped with AC, enough storage, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and meet Western standards.
The lush tropical gardens around the camp provide a tranquil backdrop, and the white beaches and beach break waves are just a short walk away. Feeling adventurous and ready for bigger waves? More advanced breaks are just a quick tuk-tuk ride from our camp. After shredding waves, unwind with the spa treatment, practice yoga, or bond with fellow surfers during a sunset on the beach.

A calm and serene haven awaits on the southeastern coast of Sri Lanka, where our Surf Camp Hiriketiya allies. In comparison with our camp in Weligama, this camp can accommodate around 25 guests, which makes this location have a more intimate atmosphere. Situated close to the famous Hiriketiya Bay, the waves are perfect for beginners to intermediates, more advanced breaks are just a short ride away with our Tuk Tuk or jeep.
In Hiriketiya, we mainly have private rooms (bookable as shared rooms as well). Our rooms are located in typical private, spacious and comfortable cabana’s, inspired by the traditional jungle huts, creating a unique blend of western luxury and local charm. It’s an extra touch to your Kima experience in Sri Lanka! Options ranging from the deluxe dorm, private cabanas, and the deluxe cabana with a private plunge pool. All equipped with modern amenities like AC, fridge, charging points, and surrounded by the vibrant and green jungle, perfect for a dreamy retreat.
Hiriketiya offers a lot of privacy and a connection with nature. After shredding those waves during your morning session, enjoy your healthy 3-course breakfast and relax by one of the pools or on your private veranda.
While surfing takes centre at Kima Surf, you can complement your journey with our yoga and fitness programs. Find your inner zen before that second surf session in our open yoga shala or work on those muscles crucial surf stretches essential for a good surf in our breezy open training centre overlooking the pool and the jungle. Finish your day with a sunset and a drink on the beach shared dinner together.

Expect surfing twice a day, 7 days a week. Our professional surf guides will take you to the best surf spots around Sri Lanka, and make sure you will improve your surf skills and techniques with personal feedback
Beyond the waves, you can learn and improve more during our video analysis, pool sessions and classrooms, where we explain everything you need to know about the theory behind surfing.
Is it your first time surfing? We recommend beginners sign up for our 5-day Learn-to-Surf Program, designed to get you riding the waves in just five days!
After a day of catching waves, unwind with our six days a week yoga sessions to relax your body and mind. We also have an on-site gym for those who have energy left and want to stay active.
Your stay includes free flow coffee + tea, water and a delicious and healthy daily 3-course breakfast. Join fellow Kima guests for our group dinners served 5 times a week, featuring a variety of cuisines, from typical local Sri Lankan dishes to Mexican, pasta or our weekly BBQ!
